The holiday I’m going to talk about during ‘Songkran Holiday’ is Japan. It was my 3rd time here, but this time I went to the South of Japan which is along the line, Fukuoka, Nagasaki and Kyushu Island. (To remember Japan is 2 hours faster that Thailand). Also first I must say that I have to move everyday to another city.
For the first day, I went to Fukuoka and the first of the first thing I did was I arrived at the temple where it is popular down here in Fukuoka. In the olden times, they believed that if you pet on the cow’s head or horns it makes you clever in learning and stuff. Another popular thing in Fukuoka is a ‘Fried Moji’ (it’s a kind of Japanese dessert). For the next departure, we departed at ‘Huis Ten Bosch’. Huis Ten Bosch is a copy of Holland, which in the olden days there’re a market that Japan and Holland used to sell something. Once we got inside, we tried to find a bike to ride on, otherwise our legs got sore for the next few days, because of walking around half day. We took a picture of the tulip and views; the main part is at the windmill, tulip, and houses and last but not least is at the shore where boats sail off. We go in some activities which is kind of like Horizon Adventure (it’s about the god of water), Flight of Wonder (a story of a girl that her dad lose his job and herself got a curse) and Kirara (a story about our world and before where there is dinosaurs).
I moved to Nagasaki on the second day, which took us 1 hour and a half to arrive there from Fukuoka to Nagasaki. First of all what we did was travelling to the ‘Atomic Bomb Museum’, where all the damaged things from War World II is. Before I got inside to the museum we all took a walk where there was a monument of a man who was acting like he was praying because of his eye close, but only that his right arm shows up and his finger pointed to the sky (its mean the war starts from the sky), another is that his left arm was pointed to the mountain (which here means ground). It was so scary that it makes me cry, and one of the stories that make me remember of is Sadoka. A little girl who was in the war during 2 years old and end up died at 12 years old with a 900 and over of cranes. For the last walk tour around the museum is when I saw a picture of a boy who was about 6 years old with his younger brother on his back, and on the left side was an interviewer who wrote about him (I quite can’t remember but here is a summary of what he writes)… “I saw that boy walking down from the hill, after the war was end. He doesn’t look like a normal kid, who was like playing around with his or her sister and brother. This kid looked so sad as if he was crying with no tears. Then there was a white mask man walked down to him, getting his brother of his back and put the little brother on the hot plate in front of the funeral. Just then I know his little brother was died.” This is a short one, because really it’s like 1 full page.
The third day we travelled to Kyushu Island by ship. While we’re on the boat, tons of birds followed us for food. Most of us use chips to feed them; also most of the chips are floating in the sea. It took us 1 hour to arrive and when we got down our first activity was to go to Mt. Aso where it is the last mountain that haven’t erupt for 2 million years, there are 5 mountains altogether there which all of them were already erupted except Mt. Aso. First I thought the inside of the volcano is red, but really it was green and the inside of the volcano contain SO2. After staying there taking a picture, the tour take us all to the Cuddly Dominion, where Pang-Kung (monkey) and James-Kung (dog) start their mission. We watch a pig race, and the funniest thing about it is they really use a REAL pig. Then we go and watch a real and live show of Pang-Kung I didn’t to touch his hand but he’s so funny. Every time when he done something like talk or walk or maybe act, when he done Pang-Kung run to the owner and hugged him. After, we go to see doggie town where all types of dogs live. Finally I got back at the hotel, which from here to there takes 2 hours. The hotel took place in Beppu on the hill; also Beppu is the most famous and popular in On-Zen because there are many volcanoes around here in Beppu.
For the last day, before tomorrow going back to Thailand, Bangkok we went back to Fukuoka for the flight. But today we travelled to the tallest Building in Fukuoka to look around the city. We took 15 minutes in there, and then go to shopping. I didn’t buy much thing or not even buy anything, because I left all the shopping time at night. The hotel was well done; only the bath room just looked scary for me. I go out for shopping to buy some gift for my friends and a present for Nam and Pauline, and while my brothers’ look for his boy’s toys, within he also but a gift for his friends.
It was April the 17th.09 when it means the last day. I was exciting to go home and see how my dog is doing; another is that really if I got far away from home I sometimes want to cry I don’t know why. But good thing is that I felt so fresh today, while I was at the airport waiting to check my bag under the plane, I saw Pauline walking down with her family. I thought we’re not going to be in the same plane, but when I saw her again she is following me behind to the same gates. Then when I got in the plane, and the plane took off for 30 minutes she invites me to sit with her in the business class (because mine is economy class). I played with her and then went back to sleep with my mom, I felt like I got pushed down when we were going down to the ground.
